COVID-19 Plans for SRC 2020

The Southeastern Renaissance Conference’s 77th Annual Meeting is scheduled to convene on October 16-17, 2020 at Mercer University in Macon, GA.

To help ensure the 77th annual meeting proceeds as scheduled and to help provide extra support to our members, we have extended the following provisions:

• The deadline for paper submissions has been extended to July 10, 2020.
• SRC will ensure a full refund of any conference registration fees for cancellations due to disruptions caused by COVID-19.
• SRC will permit papers to be read in absentia or via live videofeed (e.g. Zoom, Skype, etc.) for anyone unable to travel due to COVID-19
• SRC officers will take action to ensure we are ready to go fully virtual if the need arises.

As always, papers submitted to — but not read — at the conference are eligible for development and inclusion in Renaissance Papers, our annual journal. While this has always been the SRC’s policy, we hope it provides yet another incentive for those interested in contributing to this year’s ongoing conversation.
