Extended Deadline for Submissions to SRC 2020

Call for Papers 2020

The Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC) has extended the deadline for submissions to our 77th Annual Meeting, which will be hosted by Mercer University on October 16-17 of 2020. Papers can be on any aspect of Renaissance literature, history, philosophy, music, art, or culture. SRC is unique in that we require full essays (2,500 words maximum).

The 2020 conference will meet in real time, in both a traditional and virtual format. Papers may be read in person, via live videofeed (e.g. Zoom, etc.), or in absentia for anyone unable to travel due to COVID-19.

Submissions to the conference are also considered for publication in Renaissance Papers, the SRC’s scholarly journal. Renaissance Papers publishes both the best papers presented at the conference and excellent essays that were submitted for presentation but not selected because of the volume of papers we receive. Renaissance Papers is peer-reviewed and included in the MLA Bibliography.
