SRC member Scott C. Lucas’s most recent book A Mirror for Magistrates: A Modernized and Annotated Edition was published last November by Cambridge University Press. Professor Lucas is Head of the Department of English, Fine Arts & Communication at The Citadel. 

This modernized and annotated edition of A Mirror for Magistrates offers a clear and easily accessible text with scholarly insight into its contents, and glosses of its most difficult lines and unfamiliar words, while also shedding light on the text’s appeal to early modern writers, particularly William Shakespeare, Michael Drayton, and Samuel Daniel.
