Call for Papers 2024

The Southeastern Renaissance Conference cordially invites you to the 2024 Conference to be held at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina from Friday, September 21-Saturday, September 22.

The conference theme this year is open to any topic related to the Renaissance/ Early Modern period.

The plenary speaker will be Steven May of Emory University.

How to Submit

• Please submit your full essay (20-minute reading time maximum, or no more than 2,500 words) here:  SRC Paper Submission Module, including your email somewhere on the document so we may contact you with our decision.
  
• Membership in the SRC is required for conference attendance.  Please join or renew your membership via our Membership Portal.

Deadline and Response Dates

• For consideration for the 2024 Conference, papers must be submitted by July 1, 2024.
• Those submitting papers for the 2024 Conference will receive a response from the SRC by the end of July, provided you have also included your email address on the submission.

Submission to Renaissance Papers

• Submission of your work to the SRC is also an automatic submission to Renaissance Papers, the journal of the Conference.
• Articles not accepted for delivery at the meeting may still be considered for publication in the journal.
