Professor Joseph Ortiz Publishes New Edited Collection
SRC Member Joseph Ortiz, Department Chair and Dorrance D. Roderick Professor of English at the University of Texas at El Paso, has recently published an edited collection of essays titled Approaches to Teaching Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Professor Ortiz is the author of Broken Harmony and the Politics of Music (Cornell, 2011) and Gordon Merrick and the Great Gay American Novel (Lexington, 2022), as well as the editor of Shakespeare and the Culture of Romanticism (Ashgate, 2013) and On the Origin and Progress of the Art of Music by John Taverner (Routledge, 2019).
